Master of Social Sciences in Media, Culture and Creative Cities [MSocSc(MCCC)] is a two-year part-time programme which has been offered by the Department of Sociology at the University of Hong Kong since 2013. As a new and cutting edge master’s programme, MSocSc(MCCC):
- employs a social science evidence-based approach to understand the central role of media, culture and creativity in a world city context, with a special emphasis on Hong Kong, China, and the Asian region;
- provides academic and professional training for students and practitioners in the fields of media, culture, and creative industries;
- extends discussions to current cultural policy related issues.
